If you are looking for the absolute perfect place to end your day in Siquijor, Paliton Beach in San Juan is completely unbeatable. Often referred to by travelers as "Little Boracay" because of its powdery white sand and leaning coconut trees, it is the most famous spot on the island for catching the sunset.
It has been about 3 months since our last visit, and it remains our absolute favorite spot to watch the day wind down.

The Experience: Tropical Vibes & Golden Hour
Paliton has a very relaxed, social, and welcoming atmosphere. It is the ultimate gathering place where locals, expats, and travelers all converge in the late afternoon to watch the sky transform.
  • The Scenery: The beach is lined with iconic, sweeping palm trees and incredibly soft white sand. It is the literal definition of a tropical paradise and is easily the most photogenic beach layout on the entire island.
  • The Vibe: It is a fantastic place to just sit back on the sand, relax, and enjoy the cool ocean breeze. While it definitely gets a bit crowded during the peak "golden hour," the energy is always positive, friendly, and laid-back.
  • The Sunset: The way the sun drops over the horizon here is magical. Even on a partially cloudy day, the colors are stunning. It is the kind of place where time seems to slow down.

Drinks & Amenities
The edge of the beach is lined with several small local stalls and rustic pop-up bars. You can easily grab a cold beer, a cocktail, or a fresh buko (coconut) to enjoy while you wait for the sun to drop. Having those little drink stands right there makes the whole experience feel like a daily island celebration.

The Verdict
A trip to Siquijor simply isn't complete without experiencing at least one sunset at Paliton Beach. It is highly accessible, completely free to enter, and beautifully captures the true "VibePinas" spirit of island life.
