If you are planning an island itinerary on Siquijor, making the trip out to the town of Maria to visit Salagdoong Beach is an absolute must. It is about a 50-minute, highly scenic motorbike ride from San Juan, and it offers a brilliant mix of adrenaline and pure relaxation that is tough to beat.
It has been about 3 months since our last trip here, and it easily remains one of the most picturesque locations on the entire island.

The Experience: Cliff Diving & Swimming
Salagdoong is world-famous for its cliff jumping, centered around a dramatic rock formation splitting the beach layout.
  • The Jumps: They have built jumping platforms at different heights right into the rock face. Even if you aren't brave enough to take the leap yourself, simply sitting back and watching other travelers plunge into the turquoise water below is a massive highlight.
  • The Beach: The water on the main shore is incredibly clear, calm, and quiet. It makes a beautiful, safe swimming spot for families with kids or anyone just looking to float peacefully in paradise.
  • Drone Note: For the content creators and vloggers out there, this spot is a total dream. The overhead views of the rock formations contrasting against the deep, shifting blue hues of the ocean look stunning on camera.

Amenities & Food
There are plenty of shaded sitting areas and local cottages where you can base yourself for the day. If you just want to grab sodas, water, or simple snacks, there are convenient stands nearby.
  • Word of Caution: While the beach itself is a perfect 10/10, the on-site restaurant service can run a bit on "island time." If you are ordering a full cooked meal, prepare yourself for a bit of a wait—otherwise, it might be easier to stick to basic snacks and drinks while you are here!

Staying Overnight at Salagdoong
For travelers who want to wake up right on the water, they offer accommodation rooms inside the main building on-site.
  • Pricing: It currently runs right around 3,000 PHP per night (which includes a simple breakfast), representing a slight price increase from previous years.
  • The Upgrades: They have recently done some repair work to the building’s exterior and guest rooms. Best of all, they have installed Starlink, meaning the internet here is now vastly more reliable and faster than it used to be. It’s a great beachside base to stay for 2 or 3 nights before moving on to explore other sides of Siquijor.

The Verdict
Whether you are riding out to conquer the high-dive platforms or just want to enjoy a quiet swim in crystal-clear water, Salagdoong Beach is an absolute gem. Just package your visit with a bit of patience if you plan to order lunch!
