Negros Island is a place I have traveled through many times over the years. However, outside of a quick dash across the island to catch the ferry during our last trip to Siquijor, it has been close to a year since I actually spent proper time exploring it.

Things change fast in the Philippines, and since I haven't stayed long-term recently, I want to make sure the information we have here on VibePinas is fresh. Whether you are living in or traveling through Negros Oriental or Negros Occidental, we want to hear your latest updates🌾.

If you have been exploring Negros recently, start a thread to let us know:
  • Dumaguete & Valencia: How is the expat and dining scene looking lately? Any new cafes or spots that are absolute must-visits?
  • Road Conditions & Travel: For anyone driving across the island (like taking the scenic Eco-Tourism highway), how are the roads looking right now?
  • Hidden Gems: Have you found any great new resorts, beaches, or mountain hiding spots away from the usual tourist tracks?
  • The Sugarlandia Side: If you’ve spent time up in Bacolod or the north recently, how does the vibe and food scene compare to the south?
Let us know what you've been up to on Negros Island lately and share your latest recommendations! 🏝️
