If you need a functional, well-located place to stay while getting things done in Manila, Hotel Dreamworld North EDSA offers a very fair deal.
The absolute biggest draw here is the location. It sits just across the road from SM City North EDSA (one of the largest malls in the Philippines). Whenever Jessa and I have work to do in Manila, we keep returning to this hotel simply because we love hanging out in the vast SM mall during our downtime.

Pricing & Rooms
We usually book a room here for around 1,700 to 1,800 PHP per night, which includes a small breakfast. The rooms themselves are decent and comfortable enough for the price point, especially considering you are right in the heart of the city.
  • One Minor Annoyance: The mattresses are covered in a very slick, sliding fabric. Because of this, the bedsheets tend to slip and come off easily during the night, which can get a bit irritating!

The Breakfast
As you would expect in this budget price range, the breakfast selection is minimal. However, it is absolutely good enough to fuel you up for the morning and represents great value when factored into the nightly rate.

The Verdict
For the combination of price, room quality, and unmatched mall proximity, Hotel Dreamworld is a highly practical choice for any traveler or expat handling business in Manila.
