If you are looking for a world-class wildlife experience in the heart of Cebu, the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park in Carmen remains the premier destination. Having visited the park twice now—with my most recent trip being in 2025—it has been interesting to see how the experience evolves. Please note that while this review is based on recent first-hand experience, pricing and specific attractions may have shifted slightly since my last visit.

The Logistics: Getting There & Staying Nearby:
The drive to Carmen is a commitment, so an early start is essential.
  • Accommodation Tip: To avoid an exhausting round-trip in a single day, I highly recommend an overnight stay in Danao. There are several beach resorts that offer great value and spacious rooms for larger groups.
Cost & Value:
The entrance fee is a significant investment for the region. On our last visit, we paid approximately ₱14,000 for a group of nine. While it is one of the pricier attractions in the Philippines, the standard of animal care and the sheer scale of the park's maintenance justify the ticket price.

Top Attractions & Activities
  • African Savannah: This remains the park's crown jewel. Boarding the specialized safari truck to see a selection of wild animals roaming in a wide-open environment is the closest experience to a genuine safari you can find in Cebu.
  • The Gardens & Aviary: Beyond the animals, the park is a botanical marvel. The fish ponds and bird sections are incredibly immersive and offer a more relaxed pace for families with small children.
  • Crocodile Feeding: For a small additional fee (around ₱100), you can feed the crocodiles. It is a visceral experience that really highlights the raw power of these reptiles.
  • Adventure Rides: For those seeking an adrenaline rush, activities like the zip line and "Sky Bike" offer spectacular views of the Carmen mountains. Even for those wary of heights, the Sky Bike is a unique way to take in the landscape.
Dining Experience Dining at the Savannah Grill is a highlight. Having a meal together while sitting just meters away from a giraffe enclosure. Practical Tips for Visitors
  • Beat the Heat: The park is vast and largely exposed. It gets intense by midday, so bring high-SPF sun protection and stay hydrated.
  • Mobility: Expect a lot of walking. While internal trams are available to navigate the steeper sections between the different "worlds," comfortable footwear is a must.
Final Verdict:  Cebu Safari and Adventure Park is a top-tier destination that continues to rival international standards. It is a full-day commitment, but the quality of the enclosures and the variety of wildlife make it an essential stop for anyone visiting Cebu.
