Since Jessa, Liam, and I were already in the city for our mini-vacation, we had to stop by Cebu Ocean Park. We’ve actually been here quite a few times before, but it is always on our itinerary because Liam absolutely loves it.

If you are planning a visit soon, here is my honest breakdown of what to expect!

The Cost & Location
The pricing structure is fairly straightforward depending on when you decide to visit:
  • Weekdays: 700 PHP per person.
  • Weekends & Holidays: 900 PHP per person.
Location Advantage: It is located right within the SM Seaside complex (and sits right near the new Cebu Fun Park), making it incredibly easy to get to, find parking, or combine into a full day of city entertainment.

Cebu vs. Manila: Is it too small?
I’ve seen a lot of comments on our social media photos asking if this is the same as the famous Manila Ocean Park. It’s not! This is the Cebu version. While it is definitely built on a smaller scale than the massive oceanarium in Manila, don't let that deter you. It feels like a beautiful, well-maintained little oasis right in the middle of the city bustle.

The Experience: Kids vs. Adults
  • For the Kids: This is where the park truly shines. Liam can explore the exhibits again and again and never get bored. They feature live bird shows and fish feeding experiences at set times throughout the day, which are always a massive highlight for the little ones.
  • For the Adults: If you have been here multiple times like Jessa and me, the initial "wow" factor might wear off a bit. However, if you are visiting for the first time or bringing a partner who hasn't experienced it yet, the massive underwater tunnels make it a really beautiful, relaxing, and air-conditioned place to walk through.

The Verdict
If you don't live directly in Cebu City and you are coming into the area for a trip—especially if you have children—Cebu Ocean Park is an amazing place to spend a few hours. It is very clean, well-managed, and provides a perfect, educational break from the typical mall shopping experience.

Pro-Tip: Check the schedule for the bird shows as soon as you get through the gates so you don’t accidentally miss them!
