If you are coming to Cebu City to check out the nightlife, grab a few beers with friends, or play some pool, Dynasty Tourist Inn is a great budget choice.
Its biggest selling point is the location. It sits roughly a 10-minute walk from the Mango party area, meaning you are close enough to walk home after a night out, but far enough away that you can actually get some sleep. If all you need is a decent bed to crash on at a fair distance from the nightlife, this fits the bill perfectly.
Pricing & Rooms
A double room goes for right around 1,000 PHP per night. The rooms are reasonably clean, and the staff is friendly enough.
One thing to keep in mind is the plumbing—it can be a bit of a gamble. Sometimes you get a room with great hot water, and other times it is strictly a cold shower.
The Booking Trick
They serve a small, local Filipino breakfast with coffee, which is surprisingly good for the price. I have never actually seen the breakfast option available when looking at this place online. However, if you book directly at the hotel front desk, they offer it as a 50 PHP add-on per person (at least, they used to). Booking directly at the hotel desk seems to yield the cheapest overall rate.
The Verdict
As of writing this review, it has been about 6 months since Jessa and I last stayed here, but I believe the pricing and setup are still highly accurate. If you are traveling on a strict budget and want easy access to Mango Avenue without paying premium prices, I would absolutely give it a go.
