Part 1: Rotten to the core
I’m sharing a story on VibePinas that truly sickens me. It’s about a Norwegian-Philippine couple in Moalboal who are "rotten to the core." Not only have they scammed a local landlord by running away from rent and leaving him with 60,000 PHP in debt for appliances they resold, but they are also failing their three children, who have never been to school.
Jessa and I actually helped the landlord out by buying the fridge they left behind at a fair price. It’s a recurring pattern for this couple, and it’s heartbreaking to see the impact on their kids. Stay safe and aware! See you in the next one!
EP 2: Karma strikes?
I’m back with an update on VibePinas regarding the Norwegian-Philippine couple in Moalboal. It turns out that exposing their actions online actually worked! After the landlord posted their photos, the couple finally paid back 34,000 PHP—though they tellingly asked him not to tell Jessa and me.
Jessa also found out they owe another friend nearly 400,000 PHP. When confronted, they offered a string of excuses about broken phones and business troubles. We’ve officially picked up the fridge they left behind, and while I’m moving on from this drama, it’s a relief to see some accountability. Stay vigilant! See you in the next one!
