Good afternoon and welcome back to VibePinas! Today, The Dahls Family is taking a break from the usual hustle and enjoying a more relaxed "staycation" vibe at One Oasis in Mabolo, Cebu City. After the recent stress of health checks and travel, we really needed a day to just be together as a family in a peaceful environment.
The day started in our unit, where Jessa and I were just enjoying some quiet time. Of course, "quiet" is a relative term when you have a baby as active as Liam! We spent the morning playing and watching him explore his surroundings. He’s reaching that age where he’s constantly trying to communicate—babbling away and even letting out a confident "YEAH" now and then. It’s those little moments that make all the big challenges feel much smaller.
One Oasis has a fantastic pool area, and we were really looking forward to getting Liam into the water. However, we ran into a bit of a snag with the local rules. It turns out that even when the pool isn't crowded, there are some restrictions for babies swimming. It’s a bit frustrating when you have a "water baby" like Liam who is practically begging to jump in, but we respect the rules of the place we're staying. Instead, we spent some time lounging by the water, letting Liam soak in the atmosphere and watching the other residents enjoy the sunshine.
Speaking of lounging, Jessa was definitely in "relaxation mode" today. She was making herself comfortable on the bed and the sofa, just enjoying the air conditioning and the break from the tropical heat. I love that she can just be herself—simple, kind, and completely unfiltered—even when the camera is rolling. She’s such a caring mother to Liam, and seeing them together is always the highlight of my day.
We also took some time to address some of the practical things we’ve been dealing with. We’ve been waiting quite a while for biopsy results from the hospital, which have been a source of stress for us. We're trying to stay patient, but it's hard when you're anxious to move forward with plans, like applying for Liam's passport. A lot of you have been asking about whether he can get a Norwegian passport, and that’s definitely something we’re looking into as we navigate the paperwork for his future.
Despite the small hiccups with the pool and the hospital wait, it was exactly the kind of day we needed. It wasn't about big adventures or spectacular sights; it was about the "happy life" we’re building right here in Cebu, one day at a time.
If you want to see the "unfiltered" joy of Liam's morning chatter or Jessa's expert lounging skills, come join us.
Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next one!
