After a surprisingly great experience flying Ethiopian Airlines—and surviving some unique Ethiopian food—we hopped on a train (and a bus!) for Jessa and Liam’s very first train ride.The best part? Liam finally got to meet his Grandma! It was so emotional seeing them together. My mom even had a whole stash of toys ready for him. We’re exhausted from the 40-hour trip, and the jet lag is real, but being home feels amazing. See you in the next one!
Part 3: Porsgrunn Town
Hey there, it’s Aksel! Welcome back to VibePinas. Today, Jessa and I took a little "couples' break" and headed into Porsgrunn while Grandma watched Liam. It was a nostalgic walk down memory lane for me—I even passed the old motorbike shop where I worked when I was 15!We spent the day exploring the quiet streets, checking out the local mall, and bought an induction stove for my mom. We also picked up some Martini Asti and strawberries for a relaxing evening. It’s a small, cute town, and Jessa really enjoyed the vibe. See you in the next one!
Part 4: Childhood Memories And New Friends
Hey there, it’s Aksel! Welcome back to VibePinas. Today was a nostalgic one as I took Jessa and Liam on a tour of where I grew up. We visited the apartment complex where I lived until I was 11 and even saw the house we moved to afterward—seeing my old bedroom window brought back so many memories!The Norwegian summer weather was a bit chilly for swimming, but Jessa braved the cold water anyway while Liam and I watched from the shore. We ended the day with a lovely dinner hosted by some Filipino followers living nearby. It was a great day of sharing my roots with my family. See you in the next one!
Part 5: Fishing With Jessa
Hey there, it’s Aksel! Welcome back to VibePinas. Today, Jessa and I left Liam with Grandma for a little fishing adventure in Brevik. I showed her around the sports arena where I used to play football and box—lots of memories there!We tried our luck fishing under the bridge, and even though it started raining, Jessa was determined. I spent most of the time hiding behind signs to avoid her hooks! We didn’t catch any actual fish, but we ended the day with some "Norwegian-sized" junk food before heading home. Part 6: Mule Varde and Olavsberget
Hey there, it’s Aksel! Welcome back to VibePinas. Today, I took Jessa and Liam on a tour of my favorite local spots in Porsgrunn: Mule Varde and Olavsberget. It was a real trip down memory lane for me, visiting places I haven’t seen in over 11 years!Even though the "Norwegian summer" was a bit gloomy, Jessa and Liam were brave enough to take a quick dip at the beach—Liam was literally shaking from the cold, but he loved it! We also explored the old bathhouse and watched some locals catching mackerel. It’s not a major tourist spot, but these hidden gems are what make my hometown special. See you in the next one!
Part 7: Dikkon And Valle
Hey there, it’s Aksel! Welcome back to VibePinas. Today was the perfect summer day in Norway—not too hot, not too cold. We headed to Brevik and Dikkon, and I even showed Jessa and Liam some local food at a summer festival, including the local honey and jams.
We took a ferry ride to explore the beautiful fjords and islands. Jessa and Liam braved the water for a swim, while I stuck to filming—it’s still a bit too chilly for me! We also visited a follower’s cabin in Valle for some relaxing and "fishing" (though Jessa surrendered before catching anything!). See you in the next one!
Part 8: Jessa And I Visit My Dad's Grave
Hey there, it’s Aksel! Welcome back to VibePinas. As our Norway trip winds down, Jessa and I took a meaningful trip to visit my dad's grave. It was a personal and emotional moment, especially since he and Jessa were such good friends. We’re planning to return at Christmas to bring flowers and continue the tradition.
Afterward, we did some final shopping and realized Jessa’s haul alone is over 20 kilos! We’ve only got three bags, so packing is going to be a challenge. We're ending the day with a nice meal from my mom before preparing for the long flight back to the Philippines. See you in the next one!
Part 9: Bye-Bye, Norway, And Hello, Philippines
Hey there, it’s Aksel! Welcome back to VibePinas. After an incredible 17 days in Norway, it’s finally time to head back to the Philippines. The journey home was a bit of a mission—trains, buses (thanks to track maintenance!), and a long layover in Addis Ababa.
We got to relax in a luxury airport hotel, which was a lifesaver with all our heavy bags. Liam was such a good traveler, sleeping through most of the flights. We’ve finally touched down in Manila, exhausted but happy to be home. Our Norway adventure is over for now, but the journey continues! See you in the next one!
