Hey there, it’s Aksel! I’m coming to you today from VibePinas with a video that is a lot different than what I usually post. I had a completely different plan for today’s content, but then I read a series of comments from a woman named Anna Maria, and I just couldn't stay silent.
To give you some context, this woman is a Norwegian "granny," and she decided to leave some absolutely horrible, racist comments on our Facebook page. She called my wife, Jessa, a "monkey" and told me that I was "environmentally damaged" and "freaking dumb" for living this life and building a home here.
First of all, Anna Maria, do you really think that was a wise thing to do? I’m here to show you that calling a Filipina a monkey—especially when you supposedly live in the Philippines yourself—is one of the dumbest things you've ever done. I’ve screenshotted everything, and this video is staying up for life as a reminder.
Let me tell you a little bit about the woman you’re calling a monkey. Jessa is a mountain girl who grew up with next to nothing. She has worked incredibly hard to prove everyone wrong. Today, she has over 4.5 million followers. She makes more money in a year than most Norwegian industry workers—probably more than you ever made in your life! She gets paid to stay at luxury hotels and eat at top restaurants. She is a successful 25-year-old woman, and I love her way too much to let someone like you insult her like that.
What’s even more confusing is looking at your profile. You have photos with an African man and a mixed-race child who I assume is your grandchild. If you have a mixed-race family, how can you go online and use such disgusting, racist language against another person? If you actually live in Cagayan de Oro, as your profile says, you should be apologizing to the Filipino people right now. They are some of the best people I have ever met, and frankly, I prefer any of them over someone as toxic as you.
Then there’s your comment about the house and me being "stupid." Let me give you a reality check on our finances. Jessa bought this land with 350,000 pesos of her own cash. I contribute about one-third of the building costs from my own earnings. Even if we were to break up in three years—which we won't—I’ve only put in a few hundred thousand Norwegian kroner. For the chance to live in this paradise for three years, that’s a win in my book! And legally, in the Philippines, property acquired during marriage is shared 50/50 anyway. We are building a simple, functional home with our own money, no debt, and no stress. We love this "simple life."
I’m not angry or looking for revenge, Anna Maria. I just want you to know that you don't get away with this. You need to do better and be better. If you want to apologize, you can contact me, and I’ll mention it in a future video, but I won’t be making another whole video about you—you don't deserve the attention.
